PROJECT OF THE WEEK(END): FAUX CRYSTALS

From each trip that I went, I brought some rocks. This way I have a piece of every country I've ever visited. That's how I preserve my travel memories. I know, even in the sleep, to tell you from which country is every rock, and the exact spot where I picked it up. All my rocks (and there are quite a lot of them, and I mean a lot) are now scattered all over my apartment, waiting to arrange them in some sort of rocky garden (that's I'm planning for years) on balcony. I love my rocks to be natural, but I find this DIY project on …love Maegan blog very interesting. Maybe one day I'll try to convert some of my rocks in to crystals, but till then I will enjoy Meagan's photos of her faux crystals.

ABOUT ME
I'm Andrijana Anya Katavic, the face behind Studio Artesania. I'm a journalist by profession, chemist and historian by education and a self-taught applied artist by my own choice (read, for love of art). I have a long-standing career as journalist/editor, and I also write a blog, photograph, design and manufacture usable objects, and hold workshops to teach others how to work with polymer clay and other art materials... Since childhood I've dealt with the various forms of art, I have a lot of experience with pottery and painting, but in recent years I'm mostly focused on polymer clay.
